Anche quest’anno la fiera tedesca è stata all’altezza della sua fama. Quattro i capannoni impegnati, di cui uno riservato al “nuovo”, con le case ufficiali: Icom, Yaesu e Kenwood, che esponevano le loro apparecchiature di ultima generazione. Qui erano rappresentate anche un gran numero di Associazioni consorelle dell’ARI provenienti da tutta Europa, oltre all’ARRL, Dayton Convention, Qatar e Tunisia.  La nostra Sezione era rappresentata dal Presidente I0KWX, da Mario Natali I0NAA, dal nostro Sindaco Gianni Madruzza IK0AZG e da Marco Burini IZ0WAU. 

Viaggio in quattro ruote regolare, con scarso traffico sulla A22 del Brennero e WX favorevole. Ottimo l’Hotel Sonne, prenotato da Vincenzo a Weingarten, non distante da Friedrichshafen.  Si sono gustati i piatti tipici del Baden-Wurttemberg, senza lesinare l’ottima birra. Dai marchingegni che Mario I0NAA portava addosso, è risultato che mediamente abbiamo percorso circa 6 Km al giorno tra i banchi degli espositori dove si ritrovano le stesse cose delle edizioni precedenti: condensatori variabili in aria  e sottovuoto, valvole di potenza e non, manopole di tutti i tipi, alimentatori, amplificatori per varie frequenze, apparati usati di varie marche tra cui i soliti Drake, Collins, Heatkit etc.... L’ultimo capannone era riservato alla “robotica”, che per la prima volta ha fatto l’ingresso alla “MESSE”. Ripartiti domenica mattina, direzione Innsbruck, poi Brennero, uscita a Bolzano nord per la Val d’Ega, Lago di Carezza, P.sso di Costalunga, Moena, Predazzo, pranzo a casa della sorella del Presidente e rientro a Perugia in serata, soddisfatti e convinti di aver passato una qsy interessante e meritevole da ripetere l’anno prossimo.
