Piccole Orme "Scaccia Pericoli, Scout Operazioni Speciali" 

L’AGESCI UMBRIA (Associazione Guide e Scout Cattolici Italiani), ha organizzato un evento nei giorni 19, 20 e 21 Giugno 2015 a Perugia (Casa Monteripido, Via Monteripido, 8). L’attività è stata chiamata S.O.S Scout Operazioni Speciali e si è svolta nell’ambiente fantastico-immaginario di un’accademia per “piccoli allievi soccorritori”. L’evento è stato improntato sul far conoscere ai bambini di 11/12 ann,i le basi per essere un buon soccorritore, scoprendo nuove tecniche e mettendosi alla prova. Lo scopo è stato quello di rendere i ragazzi consapevoli dei pericoli (imparo a riconoscerli, li evito, so cosa fare e non fare) e capaci di saper dialogare e chiedere aiuto correttamente alle strutture di soccorso. 

Rispondendo all'invito fatto alla Sezione ARI di Perugia, nel pomeriggio di Sabato 20 giugno IK0XBX e IW0RUM (seguito dall’aiutante IW0RUM jr.), hanno illustrato ad un gruppo di 35 lupetti cosa è la radio e come la si utilizza in situazioni di emergenza.,La curiosità dei piccoli, è stata particolarmente rivolta alla comprensione del significato del nome della nostra associazione, ARI ed al significato del nostro logo; dobbiamo riconoscere che ci hanno messo molto poco ad arrivare a capire il tutto, incuriositi da Claudio IW0RUM che armeggiava con la sua attrezzatura portatile VHF.  

Dopo una brevissima “lezione” sulla storia della radio e sul suo funzionamento, i ragazzi si sono divisi in 5 squadre ed abbiamo simulato le operazioni di ricerca di un “disperso nel convento di Monte Ripido” coordinando le ricerche attraverso le loro radio LPD; il gioco è piaciuto molto e la curiosità per il nostro hobby è stata davvero molta (commenti del tipo “non sapevo nemmeno che esistessero i radioamatori” erano molto frequenti). Al termine delle ricerche siamo stati letteralmente bombardati di domande, pertinenti e mirate alla radio e al nostro hobby, alle quali io e Claudio abbiamo risposto con molto piacere e dalle quali siamo riusciti a “sfuggire” solo grazie alla merenda che era arrivata per salvarci in corner. Abbiamo proposto agli organizzatori di far partecipare al Jamboree On The Air di ottobre gli scout umbri (magari coinvolgendo anche le altre sezioni ARI umbre), per farli parlare con tutto il mondo e fargli vivere veramente la radio. 

Durante l’evento abbiamo avuto anche la visita di Vittorio IK0QJO che, grazie alle sue conoscenze all’interno del convento, ci ha fatto avere l’autorizzazione a partecipare con la IQ0PG/P al Field Day SSB – Memorial I0FLY e al contest internazionale VHF che si terranno il primo week end di settembre, dal giardino del convento di Monteripido, posizione ottima per la radio e con una fantastica vista su Perugia e dintorni.  73 de Francesco IK0XBX
