IARU Reg.1 HF SSB Field Day Contest

E' terminata la nona edizione del Contest Field Day - I0FLY Memorial, ed anche grazie alla promozione ed all'impegno organizzativo di Francesco IK0XBX, anche quest'anno la Sezione ARI di Perugia, ha partecipato con il nominativo IQØPG/p nella categoria Multi-Operatore Portatile, in tutte le 6 bande HF previste. La stazione, come lo scorso anno, è stata allestita nel campo adiacente il container in Agello, abituale sede operativa per i contest. Tutte le apparecchiature sono state installate sotto una tenda montata tra gli ulivi, accanto al camion con braccio idraulico (tnx Maurizio IZ0VZR) che ha fatto da sostegno per le antenne, il tutto alimentato dal generatore, attivato a debita distanza dalla postazione operativa.

La stazione era così composta: RTX TS-2000 (Aripg), Amplificatore COMMANDER  2500 (IK0XBX), ... 'ammennicoli' vari forniti da IK0AZG (voice keyer, cuffia_microfono, pedaliera, etc...), PC portatile per logging, battezzato in questa occasione ed interfaccia CAT (Aripg), antenna yagi 3 el. 10-15-20mt (IK0EFR), rotore Yaesu G250 (IK0UTM), dipolo Inverted-V 40-80mt (IK0EFR), dipolo Inverted-V 160mt (Aripg), generatore (Aripg). L'allestimento della postazione e della stazione è stato gestito da Andrea IK0EFR e da Gianni IK0AZG, con  l'aiuto di tanti soci della Sezione che hanno prestato la loro opera per le operazioni di montaggio e smontaggio delle attrezzature e delle antenne, venerdì pomeriggio, sabato mattina e domenica pomeriggio.... 

Nelle 24 ore del contest si sono alternati al microfono diversi operatori del Perugia Contest Club: Gianni IK0AZG, Giacomo IZ0DBA, Francesco I0UZF, Iari IZ0FWD, Luca IZ0GVZ, Vanni IK0UTM.  I QSO messi a log sono stati 991, con un declared score di circa 345.000 punti...  Iari IZ0FWD e Luca IZ0GVZ, hanno coperto il turno notturno..., il più duro da portare a termine ma Luca, instancabile ed ancora con adrenalina da smaltire..., è tornato a fare altri qso, anche verso la fine del contest...

La cronaca della gara, racconta di un WX per fortuna clemente (nonostante le previsioni non proprio rassicuranti) e di un sistema che tutto sommato ha funzionato tranquillamente per tutta la durata della competizione... gli 'unici' problemi significativi si sono avuti con le antenne, sulla banda degli 80mt e dei 15mt....  Sicuramente la non efficienza degli 80mt ha condizionato in negativo il punteggio finale, mentre per i 15mt il problema più evidente è stata la concomitanza con il contest All Asian, che di fatto non ha permesso di effettuare una numerica di QSO significativa su questa banda per mancanza di partecipanti al FD.

Nel complesso, si sono vissute due giornate impegnative, ma molto divertenti, che hanno visto una notevole partecipazione ed aggregazione di soci della Sezione ARI di Perugia, che sono intervenuti presso la location del FD anche solo per una semplice visita di sostegno agli operatori... Chi è rimasto fino alla fine ha potuto concludere 'la faticata', gustando il prelibato pranzo a base di pesce cucinato in loco da Francesco I0UZF, che al dire dei partecipanti, è stato veramente una 'Grazia di Dio'...   

Grazie a tutti coloro che in qualche modo hanno partecipato e dato il proprio supporto e contributo al Field Day di IQ0PG/P... Grazie davvero!
