 Decennale terremoto Marche-Umbria 1997

 

Le regioni Umbria e Marche congiuntamente, con l'intervento del Dipartimento della Protezione Civile, di altri Enti e Istituzioni, hanno organizzato una serie di eventi e iniziative nella ricorrenza del decennale del terremoto del 26 settembre 1997 con inizio dal 21 settembre 2007.
Nell'approntare un articolo per gli eventi celebrativi del 2007, vengono pubblicate alcune foto tratte dai ricordi operativi del 1997, ripercorrendo così  i 10 anni e con una certa emozione!   

 
Le due regioni nel 1997 subirono la calamità di una serie di violenti scosse con danni gravi ad abitazioni, beni culturali e edifici pubblici con oltre 20mila persone sfollate dalle abitazioni. L'emergenza interessò una vasta area di competenza di decine di comuni umbri e marchigiani con lo spiegamento di migliaglia di uomini, notevoli mezzi e strutture per l'immediato soccorso e la messa in sicurezza del territorio.   

  

Queste attività ha visto l'impegno anche di tantissimi volontari di di Protezione Civile appartenenti a numerose Associazioni dell'Umbria e delle Marche e con generoso altruismo centinaia di volontari di altrettante Associazioni  di altre regioni italiane accorsi con materiali e mezzi.

La Consulta Regionale del Volontariato di Protezione Civile della Regione Umbria ha inviato una serie di documenti relativi agli eventi a tutte le Associazioni e Organizzazioni di volontariato aderenti all stessa     Consulta, per realizzare la partecipazione coordinata alle manifestazioni che prevedono un consistente     programma dal 21 al 29 settembre. La Consulta, per tutto, mantiene stretti contatti con il Servizio di     Protezione Civile della Regione Umbria - Vedere i Link ai siti istituzionali per tutte le notizie ed eventi. 

    La Sezione ARI di Perugia, quale referente nel capoluogo regionale, ha ricevuto il citato materiale dalla     Consulta del Volontariato e ha provveduto ad inoltrarlo all'ARI-Comitato Regionale Umbria e a tutte le Sezioni consorelle: Città di Castello, Foligno, Trevi, Spoleto, Terni ed Orvieto, per la realizzazione di un piano comune di adesione alle iniziative celebrative e di supporto in programma.

    In attesa di conoscere le decisioni comuni dell'ARI Umbria, per le modalità di adesione alla richiesta della     stessa Consulta Regionale, si ritiene di segnalare per doverosa informazione sin da ora alcuni eventi tra i tanti previsti ed enunciati (Avviso: i dati  inseriti possono subire variazioni, si rimanda alle fonti ufficiali) 

 22 settembre:     Raduno delle Associazioni di Volontariato che parteciparono al soccorso, incontro con l'Ammnistrazione del Comune di Foligno e cerimonia di consegna attestati di benemerenza (Foligno ore 21.30): 

23 settembre:   Raduno e Santa Messa nella Basilica Patriarcale di Santa Maria degli Angeli  (Assisi ore 10); 

26 settembre:       Cerimonia del decennale con la partecipazione del Presidente della Repubblica Italiana ed altre autorità in Colfiorito (Foligno) alle ore 10.30; 

27-28-29 settembre:       Raduno delle delegazioni regionali provenienti da tutta Italia in Colfiorito (Foligno) con  varie attività, il 29 si terrà il Seminario " La responsabilità del volontario" seguirà la cerimonia conclusiva e finale.
