Da qualche anno a questa parte fra i soci dell’ARI Sezione di Perugia si è risvegliata la voglia di fare VHF & UP, attività che si era andata affievolendo dopo l’abolizione dell’esame di CW e la corsa di tutti gli OM alle HF;
Ricordo per i più giovani che fino a qualche anno fa per accedere alle bande HF era necessario superare due esami di telegrafia (uno in trasmissione ed uno in ricezione) e chi superava solamente l’esame di teoria poteva operare solamente sulle bande VHF e superiori con un massimo di 10 Watt, facile intuire che la schiera di chi cercava il DX o il Contest in VHF & up era molto più folta di quanto possa accadere oggi dove tutti possono accedere da subito alle HF che mettono in collegamento con il mondo intero....
