WRTC 2018 Si gioca...!!!

Report by I0ZUT   Editing by IK0UTM   Mancano pochi giorni all'inizio del CONTEST IARU, che si svolgerà sabato 14 e domenica 15 luglio 2018. E' un evento durante il quale si confronteranno 65 team, composti da 2 operatori ciascuno, per contendersi i vari titoli in palio di CAMPIONI DEL MONDO dei radioamatori contesters. La nazione che quest'anno ospiterà l'evento, è la Germania (visitate il sito internet del WRTC 2018 per tutti gli ultimi aggiornamenti sulla competizione..). Ci sono voluti 3 anni di duro lavoro per organizzare questo evento, che ha visto un notevole impegno di energie per organizzare la logistica, stilare i regolamenti e soprattutto selezionare i partecipanti...

Gli equipaggi che rappresenteranno la nostra zona geografica EU4 (composta da Italia, Spagna, Portogallo, Sardegna, Malta ed altri country minori...), sono 3, ma i partecipanti alle selezioni per la zona EU4 sono stati 2407, di cui 1322 italiani, 768 spagnoli, 135 portoghesi, 51 sardi, ed altri piccoli numeri per gli altri country minori.

I 3 team leader vincitori delle selezioni sono: lo spagnolo EC2DX, che ha scelto come compagno di avventura EA5KA, l'italiano IZ3EYZ che sarà in team con IK4VET e lo spagnolo EA2OT che sarà affiancato da EA8RM dalle Canarie. La classifica finale ha risentito, come ogni anno, di squalifiche eccellenti, anche di contesters che hanno superato i 10.000 punti, ma che sono incappati nella censura di un regolamento veramente selettivo. Il maggior numero di squalifiche riguarda gli europei, mentre negli USA se ne contano solo una quindicina ed in Giappone, su 3.000 radioamatori, nessuna.
