IQ0PG - IAC 144Mhz ottobre 2015

La sera del primo martedì di ogni mese, si svolge l'Italian Activity Contest (IAC). E' un contest di sole 4 ore che permette di cimentarsi su tutte le bande dai 50Mhz a salire... (scarica il regolamento dal sito dell'ARI). La Sezione ARI di Perugia, con IQ0PG, ha partecipato nella categoria dei 144Mhz. Di seguito il report di Francesco IK0XBX...

....Come prima esperienza non è stata proprio male... Certo i qso sono stati pochi, ma lo sapevamo già in partenza che non avremmo fatto chissà cosa, invece è stato piacevole stare un paio d’ore insieme a fare quattro chiacchiere fra amici, provare strumentalmente la bontà dei balun di IW0QO (ottimi Leo, specialmente quello che hai fatto da solo), discutere di progetti e condividere esperienze, il tutto mentre a turno si chiamava CQ in due metri, gestendo sked via chat (abbiamo provato con un paio di tedeschi in CW ma arrivavano solo dei ping via MS) o cercando stazioni girando il VFO per la banda…  

Durante le operazioni sono stati presenti I0KWX, IK0AZG, IK0EFR (TNX per le birre Andrea), IK0XBX, IW0QO, IZ0DXD, IZ0GUS; anche I0RSC, I0UZF, IK0YUT, IW0SAF hanno dato il loro supporto e sono stati vicini “on air” alla IQ0PG. È solo un punto di partenza, un inizio per divertirsi ancora insieme, il primo di (spero...) molti “primi martedì del mese” da passare in ottima compagnia fra amici con il suono di una radio che ci tiene compagnia. Dobbiamo fare molti lavoretti ancora, ma la cosa non ci spaventa..., niente in confronto alle operazioni “in quota” fatte alla luce delle torce per liberare la 12 elementi dal rotore, per poterla girare a mano tramite un paio di cordicelle, c’è da sostituire la fune del verricello del palo telescopico, fissare il palo stesso con staffe “serie”, installare una lampada all’esterno del container per avere un po’ di luce sul piazzale, collegare il cavo del rotore, interfacciare il rotore con il pc, ecc. Il setup ha funzionato perfettamente con la massima affidabilità... TS2000 (con modifica al preamplificatore che ha funzionato egregiamente), Yagi 12 el. con boom da 6 metri by IK0EFR, antenna girata a “fune” in attesa di collegare il rotore, interfaccia by I0RSC per CAT e CW, software QARTEST e chat (indispensabile per questi contest in VHF) via cellulare.
